Each member of this office contributes to the success of the unit as a whole. We work closely with our students as they explore major and career goals, expand and reinforce study skills, and empower themselves with the values and life skills necessary to succeed in their academic endeavors and beyond.
Steve advises Football, Baseball, and Men's Basketball in addition to directing the unit and its programs. He has a PhD in Education from the University of Oregon.
Dietrich advises Men's and Women's Track & Field, Softball, and Volleyball. He also oversees the advising internship program. He has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon
Chris advises Football, and Men's Basketball. He has a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Oregon in English Literature and a Masters in Education from the National University.
Jennifer advises Football, Soccer, Mens and Women's Basketball, and Acrobatics & Tumbling. She has a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama.
Jeanene advises Football and Lacrosse. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Boise State University and a Masters of Education in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington.
Ruben advises Men’s and Women’s Golf and Men’s and Women’s Tennis. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Cal State University of Northridge and a Masters of Arts in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.
Learning Specialists provide individualized content and skill building instruction to student-athletes. They are especially skilled in offering enhanced support to students that may be academically at-risk or have learning disabilities.
David runs the Math Lab, providing support for students taking math and science courses of all levels. He has a PhD in Physical Chemistry from University of California - Berkeley.
Blake has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from West Virginia University.
Anna has a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Public Policy Planning and Management and a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon.
Jessica has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and a Masters of Science in Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Shirley coordinates the educational tutoring program and manages the day-to-day operations of the office. She came to Services for Student-Athletes in 2004 after working as a Legal Assistant for 20 years.
Sara has a Bachelor of Science in General Social Science, and a Master of Science in Educational Methodology, Policy, and Leadership, both from the University of Oregon.
Brian provides IT support and manages the IT Help Desk. He has a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Information Systems and Operations Manangement from the University of Oregon.
Tony oversees the Jaqua Academic Center during nights and weekends.
